What Is a Turkish IBAN (TR IBAN)?
Turkey adopted the IBAN standard under ISO 13616 for international bank transfers. A Turkish IBAN is always 26 characters long and encodes the bank code, a reserved digit, and the 16-digit account number alongside two MOD-97 check digits.
Turkish IBANs are required for all international wire transfers (SWIFT/BIC payments) to Turkish bank accounts. Domestic Turkish transfers typically use the IBAN as well, though the account number alone may still be accepted by some banks within Turkey.
Turkish IBAN Format
A TR IBAN always has exactly 26 characters:

TR — country code (Turkey)
kk — 2 check digits (MOD-97)
BBBBB — 5-digit bank code (Banka Kodu)
R — 1 reserved digit (always 0)
